Iran and I: Falling in love with my homeland that was never my home
At the end of 2014, I realized there would never be “a good time” to visit Iran. My heart felt full and broken at the same time. I called my dad immediately and that March, we landed in Tehran. Writing this essay helped me process everything that I felt during my trip. And I’m so grateful for everyone who helped me write it, and everyone who has read it.
